Equinox features some of the finest musicians from the South West recreating and arranging tunes from the Hard Bop era.
 
They usually perform as a quartet but for this Black Mountain Jazz performance they line up as a trio.
 
Steve Mathers on saxaphone brings a unique and diverse approach to music. He has toured across Europe and the UK with various bands, solo artists and as a soloist.  He has played along side members of the Ronnie Scotts All Stars.
 
John-Paul Gard is no stranger to BM Jazz.  He is one of the most experienced electric organ musicians in the country and regularly performs with his own project, as well as with The Jon Dalton Organ Trio and The George Benson Tribute Band.  
 
Dave Smith is one of the most in demand drummers on the British alternative/improv music scene. Drawing on a wide range of influences, from West African percussion to jazz drumming, his explosive style and musical sensitivity give him the versatility to play in many musical environments.
