Described as a “flexible and versatile” vocalist by The Jazz Mann, Claire Victoria Roberts combines classical and folk-influenced fiddle with smooth, sultry vocals and a love of jazz and swing.
She began learning violin with her dad, growing up in West Wales, and is influenced by female jazz vocalists Carmen McRae, Anita O’Day and Jane Monheit.
This year sees the release of her new album, ‘Cheating Hearts’, and performances at festivals Aberjazz, Upton Jazz and Bude Jazz.
“a beautiful and evocative set” – Marsden Jazz festival 2019.
Last year, Abergavenny’s wall2wall Jazz festival closed at the Kings Head with the most enjoyable duet of Claire and Guy Shotton on keyboard.
Joining Claire will be Alex Hill on piano and Grant Russell on bass.
