Bristolian singer-song writer Lady Nade fuses modern soul, roots, blues and pop-folk. Her tender soulful voice has drawn many splendid reviews, including:
- “Absolutely Lovely” – Dermot O’Leary, BBC Radio 2
- ”Nina Simone inspired Vocals” – Isa Jeward, The Guardian/Observer
- “Unique, wonderful, voice which has the power to move you” - Ian Matthews, Kasabian
The heart of Lady Nade’s debut album, ‘Hard to Forget’, was lovingly crafted mostly in the kitchen. A dedicated food aficionado, she poured her creativity in to every song, and lavished each with a recipe to match. The finished result is a deeply evocative and emotive album , filled with wonderful words that nourish both body and soul.
With a busy schedule of shows and residencies, 2019 continues to be a tasteful year – performing in countless locations, from underground bars to festival fields, concert venues and European cities.
Lady Nade’s increasing profile has earned her endorsement from Taylor Guitars, Sontronics and Icon Films, features on BBC2 Dermot’ O Leary, Tom Robinson’s BBC6 Fresh Net show and BBC Bristol’s Introducing, France National RadIo and Sam Bain (writer of Peep show and Freshman) ‘Yours Truly, Pierre Stone’ BB4 Radio Show continue to spark national interest.
For the wall2wall Jazz Festival, she pays tribute to the Blues Dames’ of past golden years – expect an exciting evening of infectious songs with themes of love, passion, life and longing.
