In this special project, the inspirational pianist takes the audience on a breathtaking journey through the entire history of jazz piano.
Beginning with the sedate ragtime of Scott Joplin, Geoff pays tribute to, amongst others, Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller, Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Erroll Garner, Dave Brubeck, Thelonius Monk, George Shearing, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett and Herbie Hancock
You will hear wonderful interpretations of favourites such as King Porter Stomp, Honeysuckle Rose, Tea for Two, Night Train, Misty, Take Five, Round Midnight, Lullaby of Birdland, Waltz for Debby, My Song and Watermelon Man.
For his BMJ performance, Geoff is joined by Ashley John Long on bass
