SUPPORTING QUALITY LIVE MUSIC IN ABERGAVENNY
Bunker are a leaderless band made up of musicians who are inspired, not only by jazz from past decades, but also current and future sounds.
Bunker shares its name with the famous Brooklyn recording studio, which has been the birthplace of a new scene which sees elements of jazz fused with electronic music.
Inspired by the vast lineage of jazz, Bunker will be performing music which covers its whole timeline.
- Chris Stuart – percussion
- Jose Miguel Ruiz – gil /piano/ keys
- Matt Thomas – bass
- Chris James – guitar
- Joe Northwood – saxophone
- Simon Stuart – drums
During the interval, Nick Steel will provide his ‘The Wind-up Merchant’ entertainment in the bar, with a selection of 1920s to 1950s 78s gramophone records, featuring some of the past jazz greats.
This event is part of Black Mountain Jazz’s programme for the Abergavenny Arts Festival.
